Shimmer and Shine

Today was a cold day promising the hope of snow this weekend. I love snow and always get excited about the possibility of a winter wonderland. Today's assemble is a mix of shimmer and shine. I picked up a gorgeous cobalt blue silk tee at Old Navy. To keep me warm, I added a cream cardi with rhinestone buttons (who doesn't love a bit of bling?) The pants are from Gap and I love them. They are stretchy and make my non-existent curves show! I need to do more investigating to see if they have them in other colors. Just because the Holiday season is over, doesn't mean you have to put away the sparkles.

Dressing Down

 I've come to the realization that I don't really like to dress down anymore. It seems I've left those college couture days behind me. Below is my definition of dressing down. Simple yet stylish and of course adding those accessories to give it a little bling.

Just a touch of Pink

When it comes to my winter wardrobe, it contains a lot of black.  I love it because it's slimming and adds a striking contrast to my fair skin tone and hair color. The best part of black, it goes with anything  (even brown).  Just add a bright color to a black foundation and  you have a chic and classic combination that even Audrey Hepburn would love.

Gold and Neutral

Yesterday I finally got my new neutral sweater in. It's soft, comfy, and a perfect staple for so many outfits. This is my first attempt with a dolman style top. I wasn't sure if it would fit my body type and I'm happy to report it does. I love the longer length in the back and the loose fitting sleeves. It hits right below the top of my jeans so you can show off a cute skinny belt.  Today I just added a little bit of gold to make it shine. This will probably be one of many posts you see with this sweater.

Holiday Lace

Today Starbucks decorated their stores with Christmas Cheer. It seemed fitting that I wore a bit of red today (although I swear I didn't plan it that way).  I wanted to wear my new lace shirt that I FINALLY found! I've literally been looking for a lace shirt since September. I was so exited when I found my new wardrobe staple at Forever21 and on sale! Lace tops makes anything girly. You can wear it with almost any sort of bottoms, over dresses, and sparkly tanks. It's perfect for the holidays.

Bit of Sparkle

Wednesdays always seem a bit dull. It's hump day and you are starting to get excited for the weekend. A little bit of sparkle and shine to your outfit can give light to your day (and hopefully make it go by faster).
